Vern, I answered your "weed vs. wildflower" question on the photo posting of the "dandelion" but, to save you some time, here you go:

Well, Vern, there is very, VERY "thin line" between "wildflowers" and "weeds" and what one person in one area might call a "weed", another in another place might call a "wildflower" or EVEN a "bedding plant"! Remember that ALL flowers are considered "weeds" SOMEWHERE! lol! Just for your edification, in Sonoma County alone we have over 10 different varieties of "dandelions" -- all of which look slightly different. So, I imagine that, within the borders of the U.S., there must be at LEAST 30 different varieties of "dandelions"! This question also brings up the problem inherent in "common names" for plants as "common names" (like "dandelion") can change from place to place -- a great deal in some cases... Whenever possible, I try to determine the actual, latin name of the plant so that no mistake is made in its identification. (But, then, that could be the horticulturalist in me... LOL!) ;o)

Morning Vern,

I know, who's this wacky woman??? It's been way too long. I have been so busy trying to gather funds to stay afloat here.

I just wanted to stop by and wish you and yours a wonderful weekend. And to thank you again for all your help with the Pepsi, I ended up gathering enough points with everyone's help to get 25 dvd's and 8 cd's for Toys for Tots. Yours was a big part in that, really. Thanks again for all your help.

Anyhow, hope you have a wonderful weekend, just stopping in to say I think of you often and a lot of other gather friends as well.
